Established in 1885, Toronto Electric is one of Canada’s most respected material handling and electric motor companies. From our 24,000 sq. ft. building in central Toronto, we serve customers across the country. In some areas, we partner with local material handling firms, chosen for their expertise and track records.
Our highly trained and experienced inspectors can visit your worksite on request or as part of a scheduled inspection program. They have comprehensive knowledge of the various brands and types of lifting and material handling technologies, giving them the insight to quickly identify deficiencies that may affect the operator’s safety or that may require preventative maintenance or repairs for your overhead crane or hoist.
Save on the costs of field repairs by bringing your motors or other transportable lift-equipment hardware to the service counter at our central Toronto location.
We carry parts for all major hoist brands, and our repair staff can often repair and test a motor, or another unit, within 24 hours.
Periodic inspection and maintenance of your lifting equipment is a necessary investment, helping you prevent unexpected failures, limit costly downtime, and protect the safety of your workers. In many cases, regular inspections are required for safety and regulatory compliance.
At Toronto Electric, we are fully equipped to load-test, certify, and repair equipment to get you back to work in as little time as possible.
Toronto Electric realizes the need to maintain standard and custom equipment supplied to our customers. We strive to minimize downtime due to equipment failure, saving our customers money by eliminating the need to service poorly installed or underrated equipment.
Our service team at Toronto Electric is a mix of employee and contractor technicians, offering both in-house and on-site service. Our in-house team uses dynamic load testing, and we can move our 5-ton weight set off-site for dynamic testing at a customer location. All of our technicians are highly qualified to work with OEM parts on most brands and are trained to operate the equipment providing the required service, such as tag/lockout, forklift, and the use of hazardous materials.
Our tablet-designed electronic service modules are connected directly to the database to provide smooth information gathering. If a technician has a question, the internal team can communicate with them in real-time. This information is saved in a 24/7 backed-up database, making all past information available to all internal staff in minutes. Our ISO 9001 program gathers a significant amount of data relating to service and customer issues, helping Toronto Electric explore truck and warehouse inventory.
Our in-house team provides scheduling and purchasing services Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We offer a 24/7 after-hours service line, which offers direct access to a technician outside of our regular business hours.
Toronto Electric reviews current policies with all new and existing customers to assure them that our organization is up to date with regulations, technology, and industry best practices.
